Founder's Story
How it began:
Maison Calor was born out of a shared passion for living a life of care and intention. Annabel Crook—a mother of three, raised between London and New Zealand, now residing in Pasadena—and New York native Ryan Zimmerman first met as neighbors in Los Angeles. Annabel, ever the thoughtful encourager, frequently nudged Ryan to replace his conventional household products with clean, natural alternatives—a change that sparked a lifelong pursuit of living in harmony with the earth. What began as lighthearted conversations soon evolved into a shared vision. Together, Annabel and Ryan imagined a brand that could blend sustainability, craftsmanship, and community into something meaningful—products that not only nourish the body but also honor nature and foster a sense of belonging. Maison Calor became their way of bringing this dream to life—an invitation to embrace intentional living and celebrate the beauty in life’s small moments. From coast to coast, their journey continues, united by a mission: to share warmth, build community, and create products that make the everyday extraordinary.
